نفذت مؤسسة الزهراء التنموية (ZDF) مبادرة توزيع المساعدات الطارئة لمكافحة تفشي الإسهالات المائية الحادة (الكوليرا) في مديريات صعدة وسحار والصفراء بمحافظة صعدة، وذلك بالتنسيق مع المجلس الأعلى لإدارة وتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية والتعاون الدولي.
وقدمت العديد من المساعدات من خلال النشاط أهمها:
-خزانات المياه: تم توزيع 40 خزان بلاستيكي بسعة 1000 لتر على 40 مدرسة في المديريات المستهدفة.
-الحقائب الصحية: تم توزيع 1000 حقيبة صحية صغيرة للمدرسين في المدارس والفئات المحتاجة، و 169 حقيبة صحية كبيرة للمصابين بالكوليرا.
-أقراص الكلور: تم توزيع 132 عبوة من أقراص الكلور “أكواتاب” 1.67 جم (200 قرص لكل عبوة) و 2000 عبوة من أقراص الكلور “أكواتاب” 33 ملغ (50 قرص لكل عبوة).
-دبات الماء: تم توزيع 338 دبة ماء سعة 20 لتر.
تم تنفيذ التوزيع على مدار ثلاثة أيام بدء من تاريخ 20 – 22 مايو 2024م بدعم من كلستر المياه والأصحاح البيئي (اليونيسف).
تساهم مثل هذه الأنشطة في توفير المياه النظيفة والصحية للمدارس والفئات المحتاجة في المناطق المتضررة من تفشي الكوليرا، مما ساعد في الحد من من انتشار المرض.

Al-Zahra Development Foundation (ZDF) implemented an initiative to distribute emergency aid to combat the outbreak of acute watery diarrhea (cholera) in (Sa’dah-Sahar-Al-Safra’a) districts in Sa’dah governorate, in coordination with SCMCHA.
The activity provided several forms of assistance, the most important of which were:
– Water tanks: 40 plastic tanks with a capacity of 1,000 liters were distributed to 40 schools in the targeted directorates.
– Health kits: 1,000 small health kits were distributed to teachers in schools and needy groups, and 169 large health kits were distributed to cholera patients.
– Chlorine tablets: 132 packages of “Aquatab” chlorine tablets 1.67 gm (200 tablets per package) and 2,000 packages of “Aquatab” chlorine tablets 33 mg (50 tablets per package) were distributed.
– Water cans: 338 water cans with a capacity of 20 liters were distributed.
The distribution was implemented over three days starting from (May 20- 22, 2024), with support of WASH Cluster and UNICEF.
Such activities contribute to providing clean and healthy water for schools and needy groups in areas affected by cholera outbreak, which helped in limiting the spread of the disease.
